I am finally getting around to scrapping July 4th, 2015! Nothing like being on top of things!!
For this page, I used several of the 4th of July collections from Doodlebug, as well as some random embellishments I had in my stash. This page was inspired from a layout I pinned on Pinterest, but I had to modify the page to fit my number of photos.
Here are several close-ups of the page.

Doggy Love
This layout features my daughter's comfort item, whom she affectionately refers to as "Doggy" (creative, right?). She always asks for Doggy when she's upset and he goes with us everywhere! When I saw Doodlebug's "Puppy Love" collection, I knew it would be perfect to showcase Norah's Doggy. Because she refers to him as Doggy, I switched the title from Puppy Love to Doggy Love.
Here are some close ups of the layout.
I also love how the colors in Norah's jacket coordinate with this collection almost perfectly.
Now I need to take a picture of what Doggy looks like after a year of love! He's definitely not so sparkly white anymore!

Birthday Party Planning
My daughter Norah's 2nd birthday is quickly approaching, so I have begun to work on the party planning. I fell in love with Doodlebug's "Under The Sea" collection and knew right away that I would use this collection for her birthday party. So far, I have only finished the invitation. Drumroll please.....here it is!
Because I am a supply hoarder, I couldn't bring myself to make multiple copies of this invitation because I didn't want to "waste" my supply. Problem solved....I decided to make just 1 copy and have copies made at a print store. I was afraid the quality would be lost in a copy, but I was wrong! They turned out beautiful!
Stay tuned for the decorations for her birthday party!!

Day At The Zoo
I used a good portion of the stickers from the Jungle and Safari icon sticker sheets to make a collage for the "zoo" part of my title. Here is a close-up for you to see the details.
I have to admit....it was hard for me to cut the stickers to fit in my letters. It felt wasteful, but I was happy with how it turned out!

Look Whooo's 1
Since we are quickly approaching Norah's 2nd birthday, I figured it was about time to scrap her 1st birthday. The great thing about this scrapbook page is that I was able to "recycle" a lot of the elements from the decorations I had already made for her birthday party. I also wanted to incorporate the party invitation onto the page, so I included it in the upper right corner.
Below are the decorations that I made for her birthday party. I was really happy with how everything turned out. It seemed like such a waste to throw the party decorations away, so I was really glad to be able to reuse them on a scrapbook page.
All of the owls and branches were reused from the party decorations. The owls were made from the Create a Critter Cricut cartridge but I modified them slightly to better match her invitation.
I made smaller versions of the scallops to mimic the scallops on her birthday banner.
My mom made Norah's shirt to match the decorations too! So cute! |

Our First Home
We purchased our first home in 2012, but I am just now getting around to scrapping the photos we took when we first viewed the house. Doodlebug's "Welcome Home" collection was perfect for this layout.
I knew I wanted to use the house stickers from the icon sticker sheet and the smaller house stickers from the fancy frills sticker sheet. I was happy when I figured out how to add both sizes of stickers while still fitting in all the necessary pictures.

The white spot next to the large photo on the left is the address to our house. I covered it with a piece of paper for privacy. |

I created the crabs using the "Create a Critter" Cricut cartridge. I hand cut the goggles and snorkels because I couldn't find one that looked close enough to the crab on Norah's outfit. I added vellum behind the goggles to make it look more realistic. The anchors were cut from the "Life's a Beach" cartridge.
